What is the DC March for Jobs?
DC March for Jobs is an event being sponsored by the Black American Leadership Alliance. Our goal in sponsoring this effort is to call national attention to the profound impact that large-scale illegal immigration has on wage suppression, reduced wages, and lost employment opportunities for low-skilled Americans, especially those in the black community. In support of that effort, the Black American Leadership Alliance is organizing a march on Washington that will take place on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. We will gather at Freedom Plaza in Washington, DC and march to Upper Senate Park, where we will hold a program of music, speakers by experts and more to ensure our voices are heard as Congress debates this critical issue.
When 22 million Americans are either out of work or unemployed, now is no time to further over-saturate the labor force with increased immigration levels and amnesty. If Congress doesn’t stop this irresponsible legislation, the United States will continue to see more and more Americans of all races out of jobs and on the streets.
