This Monday morning, the high court will hear oral arguments in Friedrichs v California Teachers Association, a cornerstone case for those of us who champion workplace freedom and education reform. Workers should chose for themselves whether or not to join a union. Workers who opt out of unions shouldn't have to continue to pay "agency fees" to support the union for its collective bargaining work. Collective bargaining itself is inherently political because negotiations revolve around workplace arrangements that are controversial-arrangements over which reasonable people can disagree. This is NOT an anti-union play. It's a workplace freedom issue, and that's what needs to resonate with the high court. Will you join our efforts?
