There is much speculation as to why Scott Walker and all but one down ticket won the recall. The Tea Party had physical evidence that Scott Walker had limited government and seen the biggings of an uptick in employment.
People of goodwill who are willing to do what is neccessary to limit government hit the streets and phones, donated and spread the word. Get out the vote happened.
The truimph is that Scott Walker earned our support. Yes, Scott Walker and all the big government States have much further to go to shrink governments impact but he and the State GOP took clear steps in the right direction. They also have a long way to go in taking the heel off the private sector so they can build capital and create those 250,000 jobs Walker targeted.
Meanwhile, San Diego and San Jose have voted to limit government union retirement and healthcare benefits. We can only hope populations elsewhere desire more feverently a similar outcome in their own towns and counties. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5iCau7NdOcNOLOcNqe...
The Fed is saying no monetary policy changes for now. The S&P identifies the political sentiment for maintaining tax rates and spending (hence little prospect for job creation with a high probability of inflation.) http://news.yahoo.com/p-says-u-avoid-fiscal-cliff-risks-remain-0619... Stagflation is the likely outcome as more printing will be inevitable if we do not cut spending. http://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/2012/06/08/ready-or-not-stagflat...
