"Sit on your hands, you die. Use your hands, and you may live/"
If you are 'on the fence' about going to a Tea Party or not, this is the time to decide: 'yes' or 'no' to democracy.
Hope to see you in D.C. It's for you, your family, your neighbors, your friends, your co-workers, your Nation.
7/4/09 may be the very day that America stands and holds OUR ground against a runaway Washington arrogance and elitism. 'No' to Socialism & Tyranny.

Dear Tea Party Supporters,
Bring a friend! This Tea Party was formed to support and spread the solutions and actions that will lead us to a better quality of life found in limited government, competitive well regulated markets, personal responsibility, privatization of competing government entities, better performance at a better cost and convenience - all of which lead to prosperity and are supported by the Constitution.
Share this with your email friends…

What happens after the speakers? And where will they be? AT the Capitol or AT the Senate Park? When the speakers are finished, what are the groups' plans?
Will everyone be staying for the Fireworks?
I'll be coming in on the Train from BWI. (My parents live 15 minutes from there.) Anyone else coming in on the Light Rail?

A local "We Surround Them" group in Chester, VA. is trying to secure a bus to the DC tea party. We need to fill 55 seats at $30/seat. We have about 30 seats to fill and time is running out. The bus will depart from Chester, VA. at 6:00am and bring us back after the event. Will those interested in riding to avoid fighting the traffic visit wst-chester.com and go to the bookstore page to purchase the tickets on line. If something happens and we do not secure the bus, your purchase will be…

The primary role of any government, as postulated by Hobbes, and later expanded upon by Locke, is to provide security for the citizenry of its sovereign nation. Security comes in a variety of forms. We know it as national defense, as well as, rules of mercantile. Each of which is designed to protect the individuals right to fair play.
The economy of a sovereign nation is a complex living thing. Adam Smith recognized that with each duty or responsibility of a nation there is an…

My lineage in the United States of America begins sometime after 1650 when a John Willingham arrived and settled in Bristol Parish. I imagine that he came to the colony as a chance to make something of himself, as land grants where given. Grants where given to many British subjects during this time in an attempt to populate the new land and expand the British Empire. Many Britain’s, like my forefather, used this as an opportunity to gain new liberties and potential wealth. Some came to the new…

I cannot fathom what is going on in this Country. I feel as though we just entered the twilight zone. In my past 50 years, there has not been a more profound moment in our Country... and yet, the apathetic, uninformed drone-like citizenry, are oblivious. I find this incomprehensible... but regrettably our citizenry have let many of us down by not being engaged, by not being informed, and by not thinking for themselves. This situation is so dire, I fear that unless one is required to take a test…

We all know what the problems are.
You’ve heard it here before but it bears repeating: Maryland has the 4th highest tax burden in the nation, is the 5th least friendly to businesses, and has the 6th highest cost of living. Yet our government in Annapolis has no plan or solutions for our state’s long-term fiscal health. Every year, they spend more money despite the…

The modern Democratic Party claims its origins in the Democratic-Republican Party of Thomas Jefferson, our third President. As I see our country being rushed by the Democrats toward expanded government, excessive taxation and restricted liberty while Republicans offer tepid resistance, I think this is a good time to explore the words of President Jefferson and challenge ourselves to…

Doug Duncan, former Montgomery County executive and candidate for the Democratic nomination for governor in 2006, wrote a column in the Washington Post criticizing the small thinking of Maryland’s elected officials in the current budget crisis. The solution…

I participated in my second-ever protest last Sunday when I served as the master of ceremonies for the “Concerned Citizens” Tea Party at Solomons. God gave us a cool, sunny day, great speakers and a crowd Sheriff Evans estimated at between 500-600 people. The homemade signs were excellent and the crowd was anxious to be heard in Annapolis and Washington. The week’s events,…

I was invited to speak at the Annapolis Tax Day Tea Party today, and the event succeeded beyond my wildest imagination. Despite a cold, pouring rain and gusty winds, over 2,000 people showed up at Campbell Park on the Annapolis City Dock to hear and be heard on the topics of excessive taxation and spending and the erosion of liberty.
I heard the parking lot at…
