Immigration and the Enablers of Pathology

Having grown up in Washington DC where the pathology of the War of Poverty decimated the black non-government population who were subjects to their bretheren, I am particularly alarmed by the enablers who personally wouldn't work in a meat factory and project that on welfare recipients and don't want to "deal" with those newly motivated to work at any job because social welfare has been cut.

Erick Erikson sadly mimics this behavior in his piece here as to why we should have…

Gun Control, Immigration, Amnesty & the State of the Union

You'll here next week about gun control legislation. See here the summary of the Manchin/Toomey compromise: http://www.toomey.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=965 To me it appears to clean up some processes to catch up with technology, reduce the cost and burden for Conceal Carry buyers and sellers and doesn't infringe on person to person sales. It will be tough to fight it given the mental health issues present in the…

The Lame Duck Session Update

Wow, lots is going on on Capitol Hill. To Summarize:

John Boehner purge some retail conservatives. Why do I call them that? Everyone picks their topics and hammers it home to feed their grassroots. Different parts of the Country have different characteristics and interests and the Representatives themselves have their personalities thrown in the mix. What is most important is that they…

The Obama's Scam "Jobs" Agenda

President Obama announced yesterday the latest market manipulation to favor veterans employment when it is this very type of tax manipulation that is destroying our Country. It's his attempt to appeal to big government Republicans. President Obama is making an outrageous assumption that the private sector would not hire and train folks coming home from active duty.…

Groups, orgs and politicians that helped make possibly Unconstitutional Budget Control Act law

The Budget Control Act increases spending, opens us to more taxes, increases debt AND may take away our Representative Government through a "Super-Majority" committee which has more rights and responsibilities than our Representatives and hence we have possibly unequal representation as voters and citizens. The later idea should be explored though, if true, can't be addressed in a timely fashion.

Here is the Bill. The description of the Select Committee begins on page 51. What do you…

August Recess: National Spending Addiction Month

The below list is incomplete as the critical vote was on Friday BEFORE the Budget "Control" Act vote. Only 22 Congressman voted to hold the line for Cut, Cap and Balance - an imperfect Bill but one I was willing to promote because it indeed capped. If your Congressman is not on this list, they cut and ran. http://www.redstate.com/erick/2011/07/30/the-22-who-held-the-line/ …

Why the Tea Party should say "No Thanks" to Mitt Romney and Bill Bolling

Mitt Romney, the unapologetic author of Romneycare, a plan that is bankrupting Massachusetts, wants YOUR vote to fix monopoly universal, unconstitutional government run healthcare. He says he can make government work better. The State of Virginia has increased insurance mandates and subsidies to the point that health insurance is not affordable to independent, individual entreprenuers and small businesses at various points in the income spectrum. So what in Bill Bolling's mind should he do?…

Debt Negotiations and Those Who Surrender

Tea Party WDC has been sponsoring the Cut, Cap and Balance Pledge at www.CutCapBalanceAct.com See sponsors, pledge signers and the number of citizens who have pledged to support it. Some sponsors (listed below) and Legislators broke the Pledge. I've agreed to remain part of the coalition contingent upon the coalition NOT breaking the Pledge.

The "Cut, Cap and Balance Act" became it's…

Who on the "right" helped fund both sides of Crony capitalism for election?

"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." Winston Churchill

The Tea Party was heard and ignored in this Debt Ceiling fight. Our politicians were taking us 80 miles an hour off the cliff, Obama wanted to go 110 miles an hour and the GOP slowed it to 100 miles an hour.  This is a great opportunity for a post mortem and to think about future strategy. Knowledge allows us to treat the players in this…

The Tea Party Road Map

In the September issue of the "New Guard", Congressman Paul Ryan mapped out his plan to reclaim the American Idea. As a Tea Party leader it was necessary to respond with an alternative Tea Party Road Map. The most challenging task is to confront our ballooning and unsustainable entitlements and other…

No Kool-Aid - Tea, Please

Originally published at TeamRonMiller.com

I participated in my second-ever protest last Sunday when I served as the master of ceremonies for the “Concerned Citizens” Tea Party at Solomons. God gave us a cool, sunny day, great speakers and a crowd Sheriff Evans estimated at between 500-600 people. The homemade signs were excellent and the crowd was anxious to be heard in Annapolis and Washington. The week’s events,… Continue

Stop. Spending. Money.

You know Maryland is turned upside down when a Republican and a Democrat agree on the solution to our state’s economic ills. Doug Duncan, former Montgomery County executive and candidate for the Democratic nomination for governor in 2006, wrote a column in the Washington Post criticizing the small thinking of Maryland’s elected officials in the current budget crisis. The solution… Continue

Slaying Leviathan: The Moral Case for Tax Reform

From punishing prosperity with progressive tax rates to borrowing billions to bail out banks, U.S. fiscal policy over the course of the last century has undermined both natural justice and economic well-being. In the natural order, virtue and vice each carries its own consequences. On the one hand, virtue yields largely positive results; hard work, patience, and carefulness, for example, tend to bring about prosperity. Vice, on the other hand, brings negative consequences; sloth, impatience,… Continue

The Enemies of Capitalism - Visit their websites & compare w/Obama's policies

Don't know about you, but I find it really uncomfortable to visit the websites listed below. I feel anger when I read their diatrabes against capitalism and conservatives. These people scare me.

Obama also scares me because his policies and his actions coincide with the views expressed on these websites. There is a subtle difference, though, between the commentary on these sites and Obama's words. The communist/socialist websites are coarse and strident and their thinking is… Continue
